Pandemic Pivot Award - Teaching Recognition

Dear Jennifer,
In the Centre for Teaching and Learning, we have been inspired by the ways that our Georgian faculty bravely faced the "pivot" to remote teaching required by the Covid-19 pandemic. We were equally inspired by those faculty who returned to campus and taught wearing PPE, using new distanced teaching and learning strategies. Our Georgian faculty have demonstrated adaptability, creativity, dedication, persistence, resilience and strength. You have connected to our community and brought forward the best you could for your students.
What have you learned through your engagement with CTL that has impacted your teaching and learning practice?
“I have learned so many wonderful things from attending the CTL sessions. The drop-in sessions around using new teaching technologies and apps was very helpful, as it allowed to me to make my teaching engaging for student learning. I also enjoyed the LOTTR sessions in the fall, as it really helped me with designing my online asynchronous course in the fall, as well as using some of the tips and tricks for my current online remote placements.”
